The late founder Shri Tulsiram Gupta, with a vision to create a society that eats healthy and stays happy, laid the foundation of success that Saraiwwalaa Group stands on today. His entrepreneurial zeal drove him to quit a cushy government job at Allwyn Industries and set up 'Pragati Traders' in the year 1991.He Completed MBA from 1st batch of MBA in Osmania University, A.P .

Shri Tulsiram Gupta soon built a strong network of customers, retailers and distributors across the country. His personal rapport with business associates and strong business acumen helped Pragati Traders reap success year-on-year. What started with humble beginnings soon became a benchmark for customer delight.

To consolidate his leadership position, Pragati Traders quickly turned into a manufacturing company by name Saraiwwalaa Agrr Refineries Pvt Ltd in 1999 with an initial capacity of 30 TPD Batch Type refinery at Maheswaram and turnover of about Rs. 40 Crores.

There was no looking back ever since, as production capacities and turnovers headed only upwards on the graph. His sudden demise in 2004 made his sons take charge of the growing enterprise and continue the tradition of excellence and values that the late founder stood for.
Today, Saraiwwalaa Aggr Refineries Ltd., (SARL) is over Rs. 2000 Crores Company with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Maheswaram and Krishnapatnam churning out a wide array of Edible Oils, Vanaspati, Bakery Fats, Rice & Rava.

The Indian edible oils & fat industry is valued at a staggering Rupees Nine Hundred Billion with a market size of 18 million tonnes annually. It is estimated that by 2025 the market size of packaged oils will have grown to an overwhelming 80%. Being the first manufacturing company to convert from batch refining process to Continuous Refinery within 2 years of inception clearly demonstrated the commitment of the management while helping the company to scale up its operations.
